Revolve Tour

Revolve

I have met many of you on The Revolve Tour. I was a part of the very first one that Women Of Faith launched in 2005. An incredible event for teenage girls 7th-12th grade, it was my privilege to be a part of it for the past 4 years. I know that many of you are aware, but I’m touring with Jeremy Camp this fall instead of with The Revolve Tour. I continue to get questions everyday as to why, so i thought I would address it on my blog.

Let me start by saying this: GO. Whether you are a teen girl, a mom of a teen girl or a friend of one, do not let them miss this life-changing event. Okay, so why won’t I be there this year? This was such a difficult decision for me. To be truthful, I feel it’s going to be super beneficial for Revolve to get some fresh faces this year and allow the attendees the opportunity to make new friends. As much as it has been a career highlight for me, I felt like it was also necessary to allow some young women in Christian music and ministry the opportunity to have that platform. I’m so excited that Britt Nicole has joined the tour this year. If you don’t know her yet, you will love her music. But even more than that, you will adore her heart. It is very obvious that Britt is in love with Jesus and I think it is imperative for this generation of young women to continue to discover new, positive role models.

I will be cheering louder than ever, just from a different place. I can’t stress enough how important this event is. This generation is desperate for something real. And that’s exactly what they will see: a real faith in a real God that will bring the significance and love they are searching for. And when we impact this generation, we will change the generations to come.

I’m excited for the ways I will continue to be involved with Women of Faith in the future. And I am so grateful to them for providing an event that will affect the environment and culture in which my daughters will grow up in. Don’t miss The Revolve Tour.

Revolve Tour Sing-A-Long

Want to know what really happens behind the scenes at The Revolve Tour? There are 2 stars of the show: Gracie and Bella Herms! This is just a quick snapshot of a tour sing-a-long that lasted for 25 minutes. All of the “adults” starting another song, actions and all. Who are the kids in this equation, anyway?! :-)

It is such a privilege to tour with some of the coolest people I’ve ever met. And I especially love how they love on my daughters. So sweet.
Check it out…

Peace.

I love Mercy Ministries & Nancy Alcorn

I love Mercy Ministries. I love Nancy Alcorn. I love who they are, what they’re about and Who they represent. If you are not familiar with Mercy Ministries, let me introduce you. Just a little over 25 years ago, Nancy Alcorn opened the doors of their first mercy home in Louisiana. They now have locations in Louisiana, Tennessee, Missouri and around the world. They offer hope and healing to desperate young women who are seeking freedom from life-controlling problems such as: eating disorders, depression, self-harm, physical and sexual abuse, and unplanned pregnancy. Their Bible-based program is free-of-charge and Mercy Ministries has now served over 2000 girls.

As many of you know, I am a former bulimic. My heart is especially drawn to the work of Mercy Ministries because of their desire to help girls who struggle with little to know self-esteem. Their educated and qualified staff does this through helping the girls see themselves through the eyes of Christ. I come in contact with girls every weekend at the Revolve Tour who are cutters or have an eating disorder. I have also met several girls who have come through the program at Mercy Ministries and their lives have been changed. I have seen the light in their eyes as they tell me about the freedom they are now experiencing.

I thank God for Nancy Alcorn. She has made great sacrifices, choosing to remain single and forego having a family in order to be married to this ministry. But because of this, she has had a part in seeing God transform thousands of lives. It couldn’t have been easy, but I am grateful for Nancy Alcorn. And I am so grateful for the work of Mercy Ministries.

"The Real Me"

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-”The Real Me,” penned by multi-Dove Award winning Curb singer/songwriter Natalie Grant, has been recorded by Clay Aiken on his best-selling new RCA/19 Recordings release, On My Way Here. The album debuted at #4 on The Billboard 200 for the week of May 24.

“‘The Real Me’ reflects my own journey of self-discovery and what God has shown me about who He is and who I am,” Grant says of the ballad, which was featured on her 2005 watershed release, Awaken. “God has a divine purpose for our lives, and there’s such comfort and peace in knowing that even when our lives are a mess, He sees the incredible beauty underneath.”

Last month Grant became the first artist in 13 years to win the GMA Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year three consecutive times. Her critically-acclaimed seventh recording, Relentless, released in February and was the highest debut and top album by a female artist on both Nielsen SoundScan’s Top Christian Albums and Christian Retail charts. With a formidable foothold at mainstream media and radio, Grant is a featured speaker and performer on the Women of Faith and Revolve Tours and is an outspoken advocate for victims of international human trafficking.
