Ya so i went and saw this movie with 2 of my friends who are “twi-hearts” or whatever the term is and the entire movie they were telling me what was going to happen next. i am the only one out of all of my friends who does not understand this twilight obsession thing. i am just going to stick to Nicholas Sparks and that will be that! but yes this movie is a waste of time. but i hope the rest of that day was good to you=] that was just a reminder to put an “x” over the next twilight movie that comes out….=]

  • Hi Natalie! I am one of your biggest fans! I think you’re awesome. Thanks for the review on New Moon. I am reading Twilight now. I am behind on this whole series. Thanks for letting us know how you really feel. Keep up the great work! Happy birthday and Merry Christmas.

  • Natalie B. says:

I completely agree. I never saw the first one but my cousin took me to new moon and i left feeling like I waisted 3 hours. Not the best movie. :) And the Blind Side is AMAZING by the way.

  • Kaitlyn says:

Natalie, I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope you have a great day and wonderful time in Seattle! Enjoy your time up there! and Merry Christmas to you, Bernie, and the girls! Love ya!

I struggled with going to NM, decided not to and then went with my big sister after T dinner. I can only say every time she ends with Edward instead of Jacob, who would have kept her mortal, and he would have eventually been mortal once again, I am sad for the kids who watch this. The final book I will never finished, and I cried like a baby when she said good bye to her last chance at being mortal–what God intended. It is all fiction, science fiction, but the fact that Ms. Meyer ended it in such away that her religion believes one lives forever, and not in the sense of traditional Christianity, made me know I had wasted time reading this series. I no longer support this, and feel it has had far too big of an impact. I am tired of it. The author ends it poorly in such a way that she broke her own rules set in the beginning, that Edward was not mortal, was ice, stone, had no heart. Inhuman beings cannot reproduce. Period. NM? Taylor L. is a good actor. His character had incredible morals and he loved her the way a girl deserves to be loved. The movie was far better than the first. I went to the ladies room while they were in Italy, because I protest that entire scene. No more a twilight fan.

You know what, folks? Right now, as you read this, underage girls are being forced to work as prostitutes in Las Vegas. Right here in the USA. Human trafficking is no longer something that’s just in Thailand or Japan or some other Asian country far away from your comfortable townhouse. Yet here we are as Christians throwing around condemnation over one woman called by God into ministry going to see a movie that some people don’t feel is a good film to see.

If condemning someone in God’s service on their blog for a movie is a source of passion and drive for you then you really need to step back and re-evaluate your walk with Christ. I don’t see where God is calling us to throw stones at fellow believers over something this trivial when the needs in your own back yard are screaming louder than a jet engine next to your ear.

Dear, Natalie my sister and I are possible your biggest fans EVER! do you have anywhere to send fan mail?

  • Kaitlyn says:

Natalie! I know this has nothing to do with New Moon, but I thought you might see this here. :p I just wanted to say thank you SOOO much for letting me interrupt you last night. Like I told you, I had taken my guitar to the last couple of shows and I wasn’t able to get it to you, so when I saw Bernie in the audience last night, I decided to ask him about it. He was so sweet, and he actually didn’t know whether or not you were going to be signing, but he introduced me to, as he put it, “the guy who’s been helping run the whole show,” and the two of them were wonderful enough to let me go grab my guitar and come see you. That totally made my night! So, thank you again, so much! And thank you Bernie! You were really the one that made it possible! :) Then, after all that, I got a chance to talk to Tiffany out at the merch table. The other ladies working the table were kind of in shock because I had driven from Austin, and Tiffany just smiled and laughed and said, “yeah, we see her on the road a lot. She’s like family.” :) Anyway…I really just wanted to let you know just how much all of that meant to me last night. Natalie, have a Happy Birthday next week and I pray your family has very very Merry Christmas. love ya!

The movies make much more sense if you read the books first. The reason Jacob and the other wolves rarely wore shirts is because any clothing they were wearing when they turned into wolves would be shredded so the less clothes they wore, the less time it took to take off their clothes prior to becoming wolves and the less clothes would be destroyed if they phased unexpectedly.

  • mallory says:

OH MY GOODNESS! YES! you so should have watched the blind side! BEST movie ever!! i was crying the whole time -enough said!

  • Gabe says:

See I see nothing wrong with watching the movie as long as you know what you believe in ( which I’m thinking you believe in God). Also I see nothing wrong with watching it, if in these tuff economic times you have money to throw away :)

  • Rachel says:

Natalie, I would totally go to the movies with you any time! I think you are awesome!!! Plus, I think you’re hilarious and we’d totally be great friends. ;)

  • Emily says:

I loved the series and will stick by these wonderful actors and actress’s. The movies definitely weren’t the best in the world but they still did a very good job on them. I think it’s rude to the actors to bash their movie they worked very hard. AndI really don’t think you should be so judgemental about if Jesus was watching it with me. Jesus knows everything and he hung out with sinners!! not that anyone who watches it is a sinner! because the movie never ever bashes God!! so stop being judgemental. Natalie I love the blog!! it was so funny!! this was not geared toward you but to Natalie Elizabeth. I don’t think Jesus would have gne himself….but why judge me or millions of other people who went to go see it?

  • Lauran Ostberg says:

Haha…I know it was bad… the press reviews about how it is so awesome makes me sick…I liked the books, they were a good, fun, fast read, but the movies sucked, When I watched new moon especially the part when she cries out in pain at the end when edward is getting hurt…is comical…I bursted out laughing in the theater…anyways loved your review! :)

  • Natalie Elizabeth says:

    so people keep asking…
1- would Jesus sit and watch this?
2- would you invite your pastor to watch this with you?

well, the second is easy, i would most definitely invite my pastor to watch this with me. though i don’t think it’s a movie he’d be interested in just cuz of the plot, not his style of movie.

the first is a little more interesting. i think it needs to be split up into two questions: would Jesus watch it? and would Jesus condone watching it?

would Jesus condone watching it? probably, i mean come on, the guy ate with tax collectors and sinners, not to sit there and condemn them, but to love them. he wasn’t oblivious to culture.

would he watch it? well i don’t think teenage romance movies are really his type, but hey, i could be wrong. i doubt he’d go and watch it by himself (that’s just boring), but i’m sure he’d go watch it with some friends. and he could either like it (like i did) or not like it (like Natalie Grant [i specify since we're both Natalie])
