Christmas Gift

betsy-wetsy

What is the greatest Christmas gift you have ever received? Besides Jesus, of-course, which is the best gift of all.

Mine was the do-it-all doll. I got her when I was 6 years old. She would cry and suck her thumb. Then I would mix this powder stuff w/water and she would eat and then poo. It was real cool when I was six. Now it’s just gross. Especially when I now have 2 real bottoms to change with, well, real poo.
So, let’s have it.

Best Christmas gift. Go.

I’d have to say my favorite gift as a child was a little kitchen set with plastic food and a tiny grocery cart. I felt so grown up…as if I was doing the actual grocery shopping for the family! Yep, grocery shopping isn’t nearly as fun now as it was back then. : )

By the way, I just caught your Union Station Christmas concert on GMC…so good! You are such a blessing.

HAHA thats funny lol well mine would definately have to be my digital camera that i got last year! it is awesome and i still love it, but as a kid it was my american girl dolls or barbies. now they have been passed down to my youngest sister that is 7, but we have a rubberamid bin that is full to the top.it is huge…i can hardly pick it up and that is just the barbie part not the clothes. most all that barbie stuff are my favorite christmas presents! =D but it is funny to think of how much i loved it all then. i havnt played with them in years…it goes to show that what you think is the best thing in the world for a little while might not be all that important anyway.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

When I was a kid, it was a Cabbage Patch Doll. That year they were THE toy and people were having a hard time getting one. My dad was working for a frame company doing displays in Kmart and the manager let him take an entire bag of dolls. My cousins and I all got one that year and it was so fun! Mine had blonde, braided pigtails. I loved her.

I would have to say “Tim,” the stuffed dog that my uncle Tim gave me when I was 4 years old. I’m now 32 and I still have him, and he’s still a good dear friend. :)

    Hugs,
    Melinda

My favorite Christmas gift would be your Christmas cd or the picture that the cast members of 7th heaven autograph. when I was little it was my barbies. I hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Lots of love:) Lauren.

  • Hannah

I guess it would be my barbie doll house I got when I was eight.
    I LOVED it.
It was actually a present for both me and my little sister.
We played with it everyday for about three years.
Other than that… my dad gets me a snow globe every year…
I collect them and it’s kinda a special thing between me and him.

GREAT post, Natalie! You’re too funny! I think my favorite Christmas present was the white and hot pink Barbie roller blades I got when I was little! I skated around the house with them all morning on Christmas day!

  • rachael

It would have to be my doll. It was like a life-size doll. I used to play dolls all the time!

When I was 2, my Omi and Opa gave me a fluffy white teddy bear named Matilda. I’m 22 now, Matilda is grey and not so fluffy, and I still can’t sleep if she is not in my bed! Ok that’s slightly embarrassing, why am I telling you that? LOL.

Happy Christmas to all the people around the world. Thanks to the one who wish to see in all and to see all in one.See one everywhere.LOL:)

  • Lindsay

“Amazing Amy” was the “it” doll when I was six years old. Amy would ask for food, wore awesome outfits, and liked oreos and pizza. I got her on Christmas Day, but around 11 pm. at night when she would not shut up about wanting an oreo, my Mom stowed her away in the dishwasher. She “dissapeared” later that week.

Last year, I received my first guitar. When my Dad pulled out the guitar shaped box, I knew what it was, and I started crying. I was just so happy!

LOL! I had one of those dolls too, Natalie!! I think I got it for Christmas when I was 7 or 8. :)

I think my all time favorite gift would either be my very first Barbie that I got when I was five, or the Nintendo I got in middle school.

  • Loren

Merry Christmas Natalie, my favorite toy ever that I got would probably be my first barbie. I had loved barbies than. Hope you have some good concerts and Happy New Year too!!

  • Selena

I saw a couple of posts about Cabbage Patch dolls. Well, I remember the year they were all the rage. I also remember how much they cost. My parents couldn’t afford to buy two Cabbage Patch dolls (which they would have had to do with twin girls), but my sister and I did get dolls that looked like Cabbage Patch dolls. The only difference was that my mother had made them, sewn them, herself. We were just as happy with those as we would have been with the name brand dolls, probably happier because no one else could say their mother had made their doll. In later years we did get several Cabbage Patch dolls, but none ever meant what those homemade dolls did and still do. Even to this day, that gift probably means the most to me because my Mama made it especially for me.

  • Noelle

My favorite present would have to be my Elsie Dinsmore doll that I got 2 years ago. She is so pretty and life-like. I’m asking for clothes for her this year.

  • Leigh Ann

I remember getting that same doll, too! My favorite Christmas gift would probably be a barbie doll house that I got when I was about 5 years old.
By the way…I saw you in Tupelo last night…and I must say that I’ve never heard a better version of O Holy Night. You totally blew the crowd away!! I said afterwards that if you didn’t feel God’s spirit move during that song then something is WRONG! Merry Christmas

Mine was actually something like that.. It didn’t really poo of course. I cant remember what it was called but it came with these plastic food things that had something on them so when you put the peas or something to the baby’s mouth she would say stuff like “mmm! Yummy Peas! I thought it was the coolest thing! Now it just sounds retarded. :-) My favorite gift now would either have to be my Ipod or my digital camera. Love ya and all you do!
