@allisonsankey can't wait to tell you all about it! :)

Life On The Road

Hello, friends. We are heading back on the bus from NYC to Nashville. Thought we would show you a little peak into our ride home. Sorry the video is a little bumpy. “Auntie” Tiff shot it while the bus was cruisin’. The back of the bus has been turned into a nursery and I climbed into one of the crib bunks. Gracie and Bella are total roadies. This will let you see how big they are getting. I love being a singer, but this will give you a glimpse into the role I love best….mommy.

 Xo,

Natalie

Thanks for your spirit at Women of Faith this past weekend in East Rutherford, it was great to see you and witness you as a mom…could a little girl have a better mentors than the women on the porch?!?! Seeing Sandi and Sheila dancing with your girls was amazing!!
I’ve been blessed so many times over by your song “Bring It All Together”, imagine my JOY when i realized it was coming – LIVE!! My sisterfriends thought I’d lost it!! You put their fears to rest with your incredible performance. They were right to not let you leave the stage.

    Off-topic, but here goes…

Does anyone know what the story is behind the song “Held”?

If so, please respond here. I’ll be tracking this thread.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Natalie G

    hi jeff,
i’d be happy to tell you the story behind “held”. it was written by christa wells. she had some of her closest friends lose a child. when their baby son was just two months old, he took his last breath. then another dear friend of christa’s lost her husband to cancer. this song is christa’s answer to “why to bad things happen to good people?” there really isn’t an answer, except that Jesus promised when everything fell, we will be held. hardships happen. pain happens. it’s just a part of life on earth. but thanks to christa, we are reminded that we have a promise from our Savior that we will never be forsaken, forgotten, or alone.

  • Debbie

    Hi, Natalie…

I’m so thankful that when everything falls, I have the promise that Jesus is there to hold me. Such is the season in my life that I find myself in the midst of now.

Held…what a comfort. God gives us that gift, that feeling of belonging, that feeling of being safe when your world seems to be crashing around you.

So, my thanks to Christa for writing the song, and to you, Natalie, for delivering the message.

    Held. Amen and amen.

welli have a question what is the story behind “safe” that is my fav. does anyone know!

  • Kelty P.

Hi Natalie, Tiffany ,Grace, and Bella!

It was really fun on the way from Nashville to Seattle! The girls are super cute! You are an amazing band, and people! Thank you for spreading God’s word, and making us feel more comfortable about flying alone!

    Kelty

    P.S. Remember to give
    Grace a charm bracelet, Tiffany!

  • http://www.nataliegrant.com Lauren

hey what is the story behind in better habnds? that is my fav song

  • Debbie

I, too, would love to know the meanings behind all of Natalie’s songs.

Please understand that I am not trying to speak for Natalie because she knows much better than I what the meanings are. Many songs, like “Held” and others do have a special meaning or story behind them. But, not every song has a story behind it, except that the songwriter was inspired by God to pen the lyrics and/or music in order to point the listener toward a saving relationship with Jesus and to bring glory and honor to Him. Or, maybe a songwriter writes a song especially for a singer because it fits her vocal range and music genre.

Whatever the stories are behind her music, I am so thankful to God for Natalie’s ministry to all of us. I know y’all are, too!

  • Jordie Hope

i went to a revolve tour, and i think i remember natalie grant saying her song better hands was about a little kid who was burned up pretty bad.
but i don’t remember the whole story she told us.

  • Tiffany

God Bless in all your future endeavors (can’t wait to see your name on the BIG SCREEN!) and MUCH ALOHA too…tiffany

Hello Natalie, I took my family to your Christmas concert at Grace Chapel in Mason, Ohio in Dec. 07. We loved your concert and it really put us in the Christmas mood! My 14 year old daughter remembered your discussion about “adopting” a child in another country and that is what she wants for her 15th birthday – to adopt one of these children. You made a strong impression as this will be her only gift – thanks! Could you send me the information about the group so that I can set this up? thanks and God bless you and your ministry. btw – cute kids! Mike

Natalie. I just got back from Women of Faith in D.C. a few hours ago. I was actually sitting right behind you on the floor. I just read your post about what a challenging time you’re walking through. I could tell when you sang “Held” this morning that this was more than just a song to you as you cried out the lyrics. I sensed a brokenness. “Father, strengthen Natalie. Hold and uphold her as she travels and mothers those precious babies. I also pray for strength and unity in her marriage. When her heart is overwhelmed, lead her to the Rock thtat is higher than her. Your grace alone is sufficient and made perfect in her weakness. Thanks be unto God who is able to keep Natalie from falling.” Love you. You are “held”

  • Jacqui

    Hey Natalie…
